Tresen Arakaki of Troop 15, Seicho-no-Ie, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. His court of honor was held at the Kona Koyasan Daishiji Mission in Holualoa, the place where he did his Eagle Project. Honoring him were members of Troop 15 and Troop 59 Kona Hongwanji, as well as some of West Hawaii’s Boy Scout leaders. In 2014, only 6 percent of all Boy Scouts became Eagle Scouts nationally.
